Welshborn Phil Evans emigrated to South Africa as a two year old. Now 23 he plays for Supersport Utd in the South African Premier League. The Wales on Sunday report that he is coming back to Wales to have a two week trial with Cardiff City.

He still has family based in Cardiff.

Evans qualifies for Wales or South Africa. He has already played one friendly game for the South Africans.

"I don't know too much about him, but I have heard good things and he is Welsh so that is why we are taking a look", Lennie Lawrence told the WoS.

He has got two weeks to show me what he can do, so the chance is there for him".
