The biggest game of the coming week is no doubt the top of the table clash at the JJB next Saturday. Promotion is the aim this season. City came through a big test at home to Crewe yesterday, the game at Wigan next week is significant for several reasons, only a win will keep us top of the table. We have not been beaten away from home since the 4 - 0 drubbing by Wigan last season that cost Alan Cork his job. Wigan, like Cardiff are chasing promotion we must compete with and get results against the top teams.

We can though take a few days away from league football and enjoy a glamorous cup tie at Premiership Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs had a 36,000 crowd for yesterday's home defeat by Middlesbrough. Tuesday's game will not have the same appeal for Spurs fans so a sell out is not expected, City have just about sold all of their 3,200 allocation of tickets. With traffic chaos expected in London as a tube strike is due to start at 8pm on Tuesday the majority of City fans are travelling on organised coaches. So far over 50 coaches have been confirmed.

With Robert Earnshaw is such goalscoring form Sours will not be taking the Bluebirds too lightly. Sam has been saying that it will be no shock if we beat Spurs, we should be playing teams of their stature every week.

Earnie has an incredible 52 goals in 68 starts. He will be relishing the chance to show he can score against the top teams as well as second and third division teams. Spurs are likely to start with Les Ferdinand and Robbie Keane, Earnie will have the chance to shine against proven international strikers.

So for the next couple of days get into cup fever. We have absolutely nothing to lose, it's party time for the Bluebirds, top of the table and on our way to White Hart Lane for some glamour and a night out at a Premiership ground.

Come Wednesday morning we can get back into the real world as we prepare for Wigan.
