Neil Alexander has been handed the No. 1 shirt for the new season, he jumps up from the No. 23 shirt he was handed last season when he was out of favour. Of course Dave Jones can select any players he likes for the opening day at Ipswich but the announcement of the squad No's does give a slight indication of the senior players.
New centre backs Darren Purse and Neil Cox are numbered 5 and 6 while Jason Koumas takes the No. 8 shirt. Well done to Cameron Jerome. The youngster is handed the No. 10 shirt famously worn by Robert Earnshaw over the last couple of seasons.
