Sullivan: City could do a Reading

'To be fair I thought Cardiff were absolutely fantastic,' The Penarth born Millionaire said after seeing his team beaten by the Bluebirds.

'Cardiff could be the new Reading of this division if they continue to play football of that standard.

'We asked West Bromwich Albion what to expect and they told us that it would be tough.

'They said Cardiff would shut us down quickly, but me and the board were totally gobsmacked by what we witnessed.

'The relentless energy was staggering from start to finish.

'We thought that pace could not continue for the 90 minutes and that Cardiff would have to ease off towards the last 20 minutes.

'But they kept coming at the same pace they started at.'

'Cardiff are without doubt the best side we have played this season and put on one hell of a show for a packed Ninian Park.'

'Cardiff did not allow us to play and that is all credit to Dave Jones' and his backroom staff who have got their players in peak condition, they are very fit.

'I hope they get promoted if Saturday's game was anything to go by, because it would be marvellous for this city to have a Premiership football club.'
