C:WindowsTempphpAE01.tmpCardiff City have written to the Premier League asking them to investigate claims that City's team line up was 'leaked' to the visitors prior to last weekend's 3 - 0 home defeat for the Bluebirds.

Iain Moody, sacked by Vincent Tan last autumn has defended himself against the claims that he sought out sensitive information from contacts at Cardiff.

Moody has defended himself, and says he has done nothing wrong, he told The Sun: 'I don't think I have done anything wrong.

'That is incredibly, extraordinarily untrue. That is untrue, completely untrue.'

While he strongly denies contacting anyone at Cardiff to try and get information, he does admit to using wider contacts in the game to find out information.

He added: 'That is the whole point of what we do as scouts.'

Team sheets are officially reveal 1 hour before kick off.

The Premier League will investigate but have not commented further.

BBC Wales Sport understands Cardiff claim Palace knew their line-up 24 hours before the game.

"What Cardiff have done is ask the Premier League to look into this and see where it goes from there," said BBC Wales football correspondent Rob Phillips.

"They were bitterly unhappy that it appears their starting line up was leaked."
