The Championship weekend

Last updated : 05 October 2009 By Michael Morris
Cardiff of course won 4 - 0 away at Watford while Middlesbrough made ceratin Reading's poor home form continued with a 2 - 0 win at the Madejski.

City's victory takes tham to 4th place. The four goals make City the highest scorers in the Championship with 23 goals.

Newcastle occupy top spot with 24 points, WBA are 2nd on 21points. Middlesbrough are 3rd on 20 with City 4th on 19 points. All teams have played 11 games.

There was more woe for Ipswich and Roy Keane. Another defeat, this time at Barnsley to a 90th minute goal see the Tractor Boys bottom of the table, 5 points from safety.

It's funny how results go. Last weekend Sheffield Wednesday made fools of us. Then in misdweek we bounced back to hammer Derby 6 - 1 and then this weekend Derby go and beat Sheff Weds 3 - 0. It doesn't make sense.
