The Championship weekend

The action started on Friday night when Wolves drew 1-1 with Blackburn. Both teams appointed new managers this week. Dean Saunders left Doncaster to take over at Wolves while Michael Appleton quit Blackpool after a couple of months to take up the impossible task of managing Blackburn.

On Saturday there are eleven matches. Of course City are at home to Ipswich  while 2nd placed Hull are also at home. They face Sheffield Weds in the televised game at 5:20pm.

Crystal Palalce, who are 3rd - 9 points behind City, are away at Burnley while Middlesbrough (4th, and also 9 points behind City) entertain play off chasing Watford.
