The Premier League weekend

Last updated : 26 April 2014 By Michael Morris

Cardiff City have three games in which to save their Premier League status. The bottom three is likely to be confirmed on the last day of the season but safety or relegation for Cardiff could be decided in the next two matches.

First and foremost Cardiff must win their matches but other results will influence the points required by the Bluebirds. On Saturday Fulham are at home to Hull City while Norwich are away at Manchester United. The other key game sees West Brom face West Ham at The Hawthorns.

I believe the battle to avoid the drop is between five clubs. Sunderland, Fulham, Cardiff, Norwich and West Brom. Just above them are Villa, Hull and Swansea, none of them safe but probably all just one win away from securing their place in the division next season.

Nothing will be decided this weekend but defeat for City would surely make a very difficult mission become an impossible one.
