The week ahead

The first team squad will return from Scotland this week and there are a number of fixtures for the City squad to complete:

First on Tuesday 30th July a reserve / youth side will make the short trip to Port Talbot.

Then on Wednesday 31st July the first team play Division 1 outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers at home, giving many people their first opportunity to see summer signings Whalley and Barker. A substantial travelling support is expected from the Black Country for this game.

Friday 2nd August sees our reserve / youth side make the trek to the south coast to play Weymouth. Weymouth are of course remembered in Cardiff for an FA Cup giant-killing win over City at Ninian in the early 80's.

The first team complete their pre-season programme with another home game vs Premiership side Bolton Wanderers on Saturday 3rd August at Ninian Park.

The reserves / youth team finish up with a game at Bath City's Twerton Park ground on Monday 5th August.

Then it's the real thing:

Nationwide League Division 2
Saturday 10th August Oldham Athletic v Cardiff City at Boundary Park.
