This time last year automatic was out of the question

Now we are just four points behind 2nd place. Now is the time for the club to go on a run to capture that automatic promotion slot.

City face Derby at home this weekend before an away trip to Doncaster. The two team above us, Norwich and Swansea both face difficult away trips to Scunthrope and Preston repectively this Saturday. Both Scunthorpe and incredibly now Preston have eyes on saving their Championship status. Preston were dead and buried a few weeks ago but have clawed back the deficit between themselves and safety from 13 points to eight points and they have a game in hand. That's thanks to back to back wins in their last two matches.

Next week Swansea and Nowich play each other.

So first and foremost Cardiff need to win their games. We known that when Swansea and Norwich meet on Saturday week one or both teams will drop points and there's a chance both sides could drop points this weekend elso with those tricky trips to teams fighting for the Championship lives.

The door is still very much open for Cardiff to walk through, please don't blow it.
