The player of the month award for Division 1 was won by Preston's Ricardo Fuller with Marlon Beresford of Luton getting the award for Divisoin 2 and Andy Preece of Carlisle winning in Division 3.
There is only one award though for goalscorer of the month and Thorne's 7 goals including a hat-trick at former club Stoke was enough to see him take the gong.
Thorne will receive a trophy and a bottle of champagne from the Football League.
