It was a tough night for Wales' kids in Serbia. Cardiff City's James Collins was substituted with a shoulder injury after taking a knock in the first half of the game. Boss Jimmy Shoulder said that Collins, along with David Pipe had been "assaulted" by the Serbs who are said to have clearly elbowed the two players.

Tony Vidmar came on as a sub for the Aussies when they were 1 up but they ended up losing the game 2 - 1. City target Gary Doherty played up front for the Irish, he is lined up as a defender when / if he comes to Ninian Park. Doherty was replaced by matchwinner Clinton Morrison who scored 9 mins from time when his shot past Schwartzer just made it over the line.
