Transfer deadline looming

City are not ruling out possible moves in or out of the club.

Dave Jones told the Western Mail, "Yes, I'm looking to being someone in. How long will that take? Well, we've got until Friday."

Chairman Peter Ridsdale confirmed he expected City to get someone in this week.

"I am in hourly contact with Dave in a bid to move towards our mutually agreed targets," said Ridsdale. "I would expect movement over the next few days, but in a way it's like Tales of the Unexpected, you never know exactly what is going to happen."

The club are looking to move palyers out as well. Usually they would offload to be able to make room in the budget for incoming players but that might not be the case this week.

"To be honest, I would expect more movement in rather than out," said Ridsdale. "Sometimes in football you have to gamble on bringing someone in with the expectation that someone may move out in the future.

"There's a long season ahead and we want to face that with as strong a squad as possible.

"I believe there's already a real buzz around the club. Things are all moving in the right direction.

"I've been in meetings about the new stadium over the past few days and that is proceeding very well too."
