The Trust board wanted to keep members informed of the next foodbank collection which takes place before the Doncaster Rovers game on Saturday, December 13th.
We are meeting the Rhondda Foodbank early next month and will be letting members know about the food items and other products most needed, if you're able to help on the day. We've worked very closely with the brilliant staff at Cardiff City FC to make these collections a success.
New members have asked us for more details of the Trust board's work involving foodbanks.
There have been six foodbanks so far:
· More than 6,000 items have been donated by Trust members, the wider fan base and staff and players at Cardiff City
· Around £3,000 in cash donated
A reminder that after the last foodbank collection, Liz Pearce, chair of the trustees at the Pontypridd Foodbank, paid this tribute to those that donated: "Thank you so much to all your members for your support on Saturday. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the supporters' trust, Cardiff City Football Club and fans.
"This is an amazing donation for us to receive and we ask that you pass on our thanks to everyone who contributed."
The Pontypridd Foodbank weighed the food donations which came to a whopping 423.52kg and £1,150 was donated, including a £100 contribution from the Trust.
