turner2Ben Turner has siged a two year contract extension in a deal that see him at City until 2016. The central defender joined Cardiff from Coventry City in August 2011.

He scored City's late equaliser against Liverpool at Wembley in the Carling Cup final.

He missed a few weeks of this season through injury but is now back as Mark Hudson's regular centre back partner.

"Ben was someone I was desperate to sign from the moment I came to this club," said Bluebirds manager Malky Mackay.

"I was delighted when that happened and then even more so based on the fantastic season he had for us last season.

"He told me he was desperate to commit to Cardiff City for the longer term and that was music to my ears."
