Unwanted Bellamy does not rule out Cardiff

The Welsh striker appears set to be omitted from Man City's 25 man Premier League squad and is thinking about a move.

He's very disillusioned with his club after being one of their best players last season. Man City have spent millions and millions on new players this summer and Bellamy wants to play and has started looking at other options.

He has already turned down an offer from Wolfsburg and when asked about Cardiff he said:

"Cardiff could still be a possibility, definitely.

"I've always wanted to play for Cardiff and I've never been shy in saying that. My wife and kids live here, I've missed them a lot in the last six years - last year I missed everyone's birthday - so that would have more of a pull for me than most.

"To take your kids to school every morning and be there as a parent is very important to me. Whether they're in a situation to do something or whether I would have to drop into the Championship I don't know."

Bellamy said he would have to "wait and see" what happens but he insisted he does not rule out joining the Bluebirds.

"I'm going to look at every option, but would I love to get Cardiff City into the Premier League? Of course I would. I'd have more of an impact doing that than playing 100 games for Wales because to move forward as a nation, football-wise, we do need a Premier League team."

Bellamy was today left out of the 23 man squad named by Man City for the Europa League.
