Action: Read from the bottom up for a match report written by Andrew Heath constructed from the On line commentary from Cardiff City World.

94 mins - Enckelman claims the corner and the final whistle blows. Job well done, shame about the late penalty. Seemed a fun atmosphere throughout, with Celtic joining in with the ayatollah and Cardiff fans in full voice following the goals at least.

93 mins - Where is the final whistle? Cardiff struggling to clear their lines and the final whistle surely should be blown, however the additional minutes baord has not been shown, another corner to Guimaraes.

91 mins - Penalty for Guimaraes late on to tarnish the day for Cardiff, given against Kennedy although according to commetators the challenge was a fair one. Kennedy also takes a yellow for his troubles.

90 mins - Corner taken by Comminges, Kennedy almost got there and the ball is put in the back of the net by Brown. Only for the goal to be disallowed for pushing from Johnson

81 mins - Guimaraes attack again and could possibly be coming into the game late on, the shot is blocked by Blake. Brown comes on for McCormack, who does the ayatollah on his way from the pitch.

80 mins - The game has gotten a little scrappy, Cardiff give away a free kick from distance, which is hit well following a long run up and Enckelman, seemingly not knowing much about it, palms it onto the bar.

68 mins - McCormack scores from a tight angle and gives a punch in the air to the City fans behind the goal. Good goal, the ball came in (from who I don't know) and McCormack chested, yes chested, it over the goalkeeper who came out to claim it then ran onto the ball and scored.

67 mins - Guimaraes captain, Mendes, is substituted soon after a nasty challenge on McPhail.

65 mins - Diagonal ball in, headed back across from Thompson and McCormack so nearly doubles his own and Cardiff's goal tally.

63 mins - Back on air, not missed much according to the commentators, CCW lines had been cut and thanks to the Celtic commentators we can now listen as they have supplied us their own line.

57 mins - Lost transmission with CCW. Cardiff have generally slowed it down in the 2nd half, McPhail has been winning the ball in midfield, Darcy Blake has looked good at the back too, Cardiff happy and in no rush at the moment.
Commentator quote: "They've been patient, almost horizontal"

20:20 - 2nd half kicks off to a very quiet crowd as the half time music suddenly stops, 3 substitutions made by Cardiff, off go Scimeca, Parry and Purse, and on come Rae, Comminges and Loovens.

HALF TIME

47 mins - Half time, other than 3 nothing corners and a shot from distance, Guimaraes have had little to offer. Cardiff are passing well and lead 1-0, (It sounds like good crisp, fast attacking football although you never really can tell on the radio). If the game were to end 1-0 Cardiff would lead the group with 4 points, 3 for the win and 1 for the goal.
Commentator's review: "A disciplined 45 mins, holding the line well, impressive performance"

40 mins - First shot on goal of note for Guimaraes, Mendes from 30 yards, thankfully straight at Enckelman

34 mins - First substitution, from Guimaraes, afraid I couldn't even attempt to spell the name. Cardiff remain on top, Guimaraes have had two corners although not really threatened. McCormack is having a great game, involved in every Cardiff move of which there have been several.

30 mins - A good move from Cardiff sees McCormack show his pace and nutmeg a defender, playing the ball across which ledley can't quite turn into the back of the net.

16 mins - 1st Cardiff City goal from McCormack, linesman lifted flag for offside, however referee allows goal to stand as the ball had come back off a defender. Cardiff had been on top through the opening of the match.

19:18 Game kicks off, approximately 1,500 Bluebirds supporters in attendance.
