Weekend preview, but Norwich have already blown it

Last updated : 24 March 2006 By Michael Morris
Any faint hope that Norwich might have had about making the play offs has just about disappeared. They are 7 points behind Preston having played two games more. A Cardiff win tomorrow would see the Bluebirds open an 8 point gap over Norwich effectively seeing them off as a play off rival.

The three crucial games on Saturday are

Cardiff v Q.P.R.
Preston v Plymouth
Wolves v Sheff Weds

The bottom line is that Cardiff need to win their game. If we do our job then anything else is a bonus. Plymouth held Preston at Home Park a couple of weeks ago. Sheff Weds beat Preston last week. It's not impossible to think they might do something for us but just as easily City could slip up.

Beast case scenario is that come 4.55pm on Saturday City could have moved into a play off place but we need things to go our way.
