Hughes is said to have fled the scene. A search for the player had been going on until he handed himself in this morning.
One man was killed in the crash which occured when Hughes' Mercedes crashed into the side of a Megane containing 4 people. Sadly a man in his 60's died. The dead mans wife and the others in the car are all in hospital suffering from broken bones and bruising.
West Brom released a statement this morning which included
"Until the full facts of the situation are understood, the club will make no further comment except to say that Lee will not be considered for selection for Tuesday evening's game against Cardiff City since he missed training on both Sunday and Monday."
