West Ham away ticket details announced

Last updated : 22 July 2011 By Michael Morris

The match will be part bubble and part voucher exchange. Just a few limited numbers will be allowed to travel direct to Upton Park.

Tickets will only be available to fans who did SIX away trips last season.

A statement on the official website reads:

Following extensive negotiations Cardiff City Football Club is pleased to have reached an agreement with The Metropolitan Police service and WHU/SAG that ensures access for 1,250 Away supporters at Upton Park on Sunday 7th August.

Cardiff City have always recognised the need for control measures at this fixture and accept the particularly challenging circumstances surrounding this match.

The compromise position will see the vast majority of visiting Cardiff fans attending via Officially recognised buses arranged by the Supporters Club and Away Travel Group, However, a limited number of qualifying supporters will be allowed to travel by private motor vehicle to South Mimms service area where a voucher/ticket exchange will take place.

In addition a further limited number of qualifying exiled supporters will also be allowed to travel direct.

1,000 travel vouchers will be made available to the Cardiff City Supporters Club and the Official Travel Groups. Their members who get the tickets must qualify via the six away game rule.

A couple of hundred tickets will go on sale, first come first served, on July 26th from the Ticket Office @ 10am (0845 345 1400). These fans must have six games under their belt from last season and be able to present themselves at South Mimms for the voucher exchange.

The majority of fans will be housed in the Trevor Brooking Stand lower, those who make their own way from South Mimms to the East End will be in the Trevor Brooking Stand Upper.

We recognise the above arrangements may cause some disappointment but believe that we have reached a reasonable compromise for all parties.
