Gareth Whalley, the player involved in the bonus row has vowed to stay at Ninian Park.

Whalley was one game short of a £50,000 bonus when he was left out of the team. The news made it into the public arena and Whalley's position was said to possibly be untenable by Lennie Lawrence.

The player though has come out saying

"I have thought long and hard about my future and I want to play for Cardiff City. I enjoy playing for this club and I want to be part of what is happening here."

Whalley has one year left to run on his current contract.
