Whittingham scores again as City beat Cov

Cardiff were 1 up in the 5th minute from a stunning Anthony Gerrard head, his first goal for the club.

After that though Coventry dominated long periods of the half without an end result. All the direct threat came from Cardiff who were unable to fashion a 2nd goal.

That changed after the break when Jay Bothroyd was felled and Whittingham stroked home the spot kick.

The 2nd half was close on total domination by Cardiff with passing and movement that Arsenal would have beed proud of. It ended a 2 - 0 massacre.

My man of the match was Adam Matthews. A stunning display at right back and worked really well with Chris Burke. The kid is class.

Chopra on another night might have scored four.

To hear that both W.B.A. and Newcastle lost made it a cracking night for City.

Third place just 1 point off top spot. Next up a trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheff Utd.
