Wigan have played 29 games and have 68 points. Crewe are on 56 points from 28 games with Oldham on 54 points with 29 games played.

Cardiff in 4th place have two games in hand on Oldham and on Wigan and a game in hand on Crewe.

City play against Oldham on Friday night and a win is essential to keep the pressure up at the top. Crewe and Wigan are both in action on Saturday so a City victory will put pressure on both teams.

City use up the first of their games in hand at Northampton next Tuesday night.
