Cardiff City's game at Wigan on Saturday was delayed after Mark Hudson's coaching staff noticed the crossbar of the goal in front of the Cardiff fans was too high.

The match went ahead with the goals different sizes as it would have taken too long to investiagte and rectify. Both sides had a half attacking the increased height goal.

Incredibly Ryan Wintle's free kick to score Cardiff's third went in off the underside of the raised bar.

Wigan boss Leam Richardson said: “It just summed our day up – if he’d had the free kick at the other end, it would have bounced off the crossbar and not into the goal.”
