Bjorn Jelga Riise, a right sided midfielder, has just finished a loan spell with Viking Stavanger in his native Norway. He has been playing for Norweigian 1st division club Aalesund and is reported to be interesting Leeds and Man City.

Man City are said to be keen to offer a contract but the player has been invited to Ninian Park by Lennie and he is impressing.

Kevin Keegan told the official Man City website yesterday

"Bjorn Jelge Riise is one of the trialists who will be coming back. I have just organised it. He has been playing on loan with Viking Stavanger and is a free transfer now. He will be back for ten days with a view to us looking at offering him a contract."

Go get him Lennie, show we can compete with the big boys.

City have also been looking at Irish international midfielder Michael Hughes. The 32 year old left sided player is in the middle of a legal row between Wimbledon and Birmingham City over a failed transfer.

Lennie though has decided not to pursue his interest in the former Man City and West Ham player.
