Wimbledon womble into town. Match preview

After "Whalleygate" and the various other rows going on this week it will be nice to see a game of football tomorrow.

Some of the squad selections would appear to be fairly obvious with Gareth Whalley unlikely to be anywhere near the the team.

Also going be out with be Alan Lee and Richard Langley. Both played international football in midweek.

Wimbledon come to Ninian Park as dead men walking. Their relegation was confirmed before Easter and like us now have nothing more than pride to play for. With their former owner watching their last rites in Division 1 they may have a point to prove.

With all the speculation in the press recently could it be Earnie's last game at Ninian Park?

The little fella gets his place back and will play in a pacey front two with Andy Campbell. In midfield Lee Bullock gets another chance to prove himself worthy of a contract. He will partner Willie Boland with Paul Parry and John Robinson on the wings.

In defence Tony Vidmar is back. He will play with James Collins in central defence. Gabbidon at left back with eitrher Croft or Weston at right back.

This is the final home Division 1 game of a successful season. Top half of Division 1 in our first season back is not failure. Let's hope we don't have another of those days though where we drop silly home points. Better displays against Forest, Coventry and Reading of late could have seen us in the play offs.

Cardiff City v Wimbledon
Ninian Park.
Saturday May 1st, 3:00pm.
