Under a blackening sky
Warren Feeney scored his first City goal when he was given a second chance to score after his penalty was saved. Feeney greatfuly put away the rebound.

Steve MacClean scored City's second goal. That was from the penalty spot with his effort giving the home keeper no chance.

The goals came in the 38th and 45th minutes of the friendly at Huish Park.

It was a good work out for both teams but like most friendlies lacked that extra edge of a competitive match. The penalties aside there wasn't an abundance of goal scoring chances but Gavin Rae shot poorly when through on goal and a second half header from Jason Byrne forced the keeper to save.

Yeovil missed the best chance from open play when a blunder by Michael Oakes left striker Marcus Stewart with an open goal but the marksman snatched at his effort and it rolled wide much to the amusement of the City fans behind the goal.

Darren Purse missed the game after becoming caught in the floods that affected the UK on Friday. Purse and Riccy Scimeca were stranded on Friday afternoon as they returned home from training and had to be rescued from the deluge that washed over Hereford and Worcestershire.

The rain in Yeovil hedl off with most of the game played in dry conditions. But with about 7 mins remaining that black clouds you can see in the picture started to empty and by the time the final whistle went it was pouring down.

Road closures and accidents meant it was a journey home via the Somerset back roads before getting on the M5 near Bridgewater.

Next up City take a squad to Weymouth on Tuesday evening.
