Young, Hughes and Jordan on way back

All three players have missed out on the whole season. They will start their own "pre season" training as they aim to regain fitness.

Scott Young as had injections into his spine to help overcome his back problems and he hopes to feature in a reserve game before Christmas. Jordan is over his ankle and knee problems, they have kept him out for over a year.

David Hughes has had three operations on his knee and is making the first steps back into training.

Gareth Whalley is still out for several weekes. The midfielder damaged ligaments at Barnsley three weeks ago and is still a long way off training again.

City have a fit squad apart form that. Injury doubts for Friday's game at QPR, Thorne, Prior and Boland, all came through the game in West London.
