Young suffers injury heartbreak

Scott Young lastest just 1 minute of last nights reserve team game at Brighton before being substituted. Young was making a return to action after suffering a back injury just before the start of the season.

Young was in the starting line for last nights game but was not comfortable running out for kick off

"I've been in full training with no problems, but my back didn't feel right when I went out for the warmup," Young told the Echo.

"I felt one or two twinges and when I went back into the changing room before kick-off, I told the physio it didn't feel too clever. I jogged out for the kick-off in the hope I could play, but I knew in my heart that wasn't going to work and I had to come off in the first minute. It's so frustrating, but maybe the four-hour coach journey had an effect, I just don't know. I had felt my back was fine. That's what makes this latest setback so disappointing."

Scott then had to endure the 4 hour coach journey back from Worthing and will be assessed by the City medical team today.
