Cardiff City injury and availability update ahead of the home game with Birmingham City on Saturday.

Yousef Salech

Available

Back in full training and fit for selection. Barry-Murphy described his return as “a huge lift for us all”. His place in the starting XI will depend on the manager's final selection.

Rubin Colwill

Doubtful

Getting closer to a return after a lengthy injury absence, but his availability remains uncertain. Barry-Murphy wants him fully confident in his movement before returning, rather than rushing him back for one game.

Joel Colwill

Seems fine

Was substituted at half-time against Middlesbrough after being unwell in the lead-up to the match. His brother Rubin had also been ill. Barry-Murphy said Joel “seems fine”.

Dylan Lawlor

Out 5–6 weeks

Suffered a hamstring injury against Watford after recently returning from a knee problem. Expected to be out until after the November international break. The manager says the time out will also allow the club to protect and strengthen his knee.

Perry Ng

Late fitness check

Suffered a back spasm after taking a knock against Watford. He was in considerable discomfort last weekend, but his condition has improved daily. Expected to train, with the hope he would be available for Saturday.

Callum Robinson

Available

Not injured. Missed the Middlesbrough game after falling short of internal squad standards, according to Barry-Murphy. He has returned to training and is available for selection.

Gabriel Osho

Suspended

Serving the first of a three-match suspension after Cardiff's unsuccessful appeal against his red card at Middlesbrough. Unavailable for Birmingham and the next two fixtures.

Calum Chambers

Out

In the earlier manager update, Chambers was not back in training and was due to see a specialist. Barry-Murphy said he was “not close” to returning. The new article gives no further update.
