"I was disappointed to exit the competition. We wanted to progress.
"I felt as if we had some good chances. The goal from Yousef probably came too late for us to mount the comeback we wanted.
"Irrespective of the competition or where we are in the game we want to keep playing until the end. I was very pleased Yousef got his goal. And even in the minutes that followed, and in the past we have scored goals close to the end, we went for it."
BB-M is hopeful the club with be 'very' busy with the transfer deadline less than a week away.
When asked whether he remained confident that the target he had expected to arrive before Norwich could still complete a move.
"I hope so," he said.
Barry-Murphy was also asked whether he expected to have a signing in place by Thursday.
"I would certainly hope so," he said, again with fingers crossed. "I was pretty sure we'd have somebody in today, so hopefully that'll be the case by Thursday."
