Not a good day for Smith in 2002

The 26 year old is playing again after a serious injury earlier in the year. Smith played for an hour of Man Utd's shock Carling defeat at Southend this week but is not getting games on a regular basis.

He has a connection to Peter Ridsdale who was Chairman at Leeds when Smith was making a name for himself at Elland Rd.

Smith was in the Leeds side that lost to City in the FA Cup in Jaunuary 2002 and was sent off in that match for an incident with Andy Legg.
