Cardiff City return to the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday to face a Birmingham City side in excellent form. The Blues have won their last three league games and Brian Barry-Murphy knows his side will face a difficult test.
“We're meeting a team arguably in the best form of the division,” the Cardiff boss said, acknowledging the challenge posed by Chris Davies' side. Cardiff will be looking to build on the 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough, while the return of Yousef Salech provides a boost in attack. Gabriel Osho begins his three-match suspension, with Dylan Lawlor and Calum Chambers also unavailable.
Birmingham arrive in South Wales full of confidence, but Cardiff have shown what they can do at home, scoring eight goals in their last two league matches at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Bluebirds will need to be at their best, but with Jack Moylan in fine form and Salech available again, there is reason for optimism ahead of kick-off.
There will be a one minute silence before the game to remember Aberfan. This week marked the 60th anniversary of the tragedy.
