Cardiff City return to the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night looking for their first Championship win of the season.
The Bluebirds have taken three points from their opening five games, drawing three and losing their last two against QPR and Portsmouth. They will be hoping to put that run behind them in front of the home supporters.
Stoke arrive in better form, having won their last two games against Norwich City and Charlton Athletic. The Potters followed a difficult start to the season with a 1-0 win over Norwich before putting four past Charlton on Saturday.
Cardiff will need to improve on their recent results, but home advantage could be important as they look to get their season moving with a first league victory.
Brian Barry-Murphy was looking ahead to this fixture soon after the final whistle at Fratton Park on Saturday:
"It's a very tough schedule. We knew the games were very close together in this opening period. With the squad the size of ours, that has its challenges, but we'll try to play really well in our home stadium, and try to win.
"We have to remain calm. I wouldn't get too carried away by where we are; it's very early in the season. We've worked together for a period with a lot of these players, so that's a real benefit - we know how we work. We have to improve, and that will remain the case.
"We were backed incredibly on Wednesday night at an extreme cost to our supporters. To come to Portsmouth in such numbers again, the support is incredible, and we don't take that for granted. I can't thank them enough for what they've done, but we know that our job is to win."
Why did Isaak Davies miss the Portsmouth game?.
"Isaak wasn't fit - he felt his hamstring in training on Friday, so I imagine he won't be available for Tuesday. The rest of the guys are back around the international break, so I don't imagine anything will change between now and Tuesday.
"The players who are here will have our full backing, our full support to try and help them produce a performance that gives us a chance to win. We're very confident that we can win games at this level, and I'm sure we will."
