Personal terms have been agreed with the striker who will sign for Cardiff City after a medical on Monday.
Bent played on loan at Wigan last season scoring 7 Premier League goals. He has spent the last 5 seasons at Premiership level.
He will head to Portugal with the City squad after the formalities have been completed.
