Anthem update. League rethink

The huge public outcry at the League's decision to only play God Save the Queen on Sunday has angered so many people and caused such a public furore that in conjunction with the police the league will today re think.

It's thought that either both anthems, or no anthems will be played.

The latter appeals to Lennie Lawrence

"My view is that no anthems should be played before the game. This final should not become a Wales v England thing, so no anthems should be played. I can see a place for anthems for international matches, but I really don't see the need for anthems on Sunday."
