Ross McCormack played an hour and scored a cracking free kick as he was given a run out ahead of starting the South Wales derby against Swansea on Saturday.

"I was always going to play some part today," Ross told the official website. "I would have been happy to go on for 90 minutes, but the decision was made to take me off, and I was happy to go along with it. It's a day off tomorrow and then I'll train Thursday and Friday to make sure I'm ready for the match (against Swansea)."
