Cardiff v Wolves. Match preview

Last updated : 22 August 2015 By Michael Morris

Cardiff are looking for their first League win of the season after three successive score draws. Today's opponents Wolves are smarting after throwing away a two goal lead to lose at home to QPR in midweek.

The game is live on Sky Sports with a 5:15pm kick off this afternoon.

Early team news:

Bruno Manga could be in contention for Cardiff's Sky Bet Championship home game with Wolves on Saturday evening, live on Sky Sports.

Gabon central defender Manga, the Bluebirds' player of the season last year, has not featured since suffering a knee injury on the club's pre-season tour of Holland.

Federico Macheda has also returned to training after a back problem but is unlikely to be involved as Cardiff chase a first win after three opening league draws.

Striker Kenwyne Jones is pushing for a start after coming on as a substitute in the last two games and could replace Alex Revell.

Wolves will be without Cardiff loanee Adam Le Fondre with the striker unable to play against his parent club under the terms of his loan.

Jordan Graham and Bright Enobakhare will be added to the travelling squad as Wolves look to hit back following their 3-2 defeat at home to QPR on Wednesday.

Jackett has no further injury worries for the trip to south Wales with Jed Wallace closing in on a return.

The midfielder, signed from Portsmouth in the summer, could overcome his knee injury to feature in the League Cup next week.

The managers:

Russell Slade

Manager Russell Slade will select his team as late as possible to assess the affects of a virus on his squad.

"There are a couple of viruses knocking around. We have to get to the bottom of that as soon as we can," he said.

Slade said one player had been forced to stay at home on Thursday and another was missing from training on Friday.

''We will give one or two others until noon tomorrow [Saturday] to see how they are.

"If somebody is not in the building it is very difficult,'' he added.
