'Set up the chances - and I'll knock 'em in. That's guaranteed!' said Chopra.

Speaking about the coming season Chopra asked for fans to be patient,

'When I went to Barnsley it took a short time to settle down, but once the first one went in there were plenty more to follow.

'I'd love to score on my debut for Cardiff City, but even if I don't the goals will come.

'I would ask the fans to be patient for maybe two or three games and if the chances are there I'll put the ball in the net.'

City signed Chopra at just the right time. Newcastle would surely have not let him go if they had forseen a shocking injury to Michael Owen that will keep him out for 5 months.
