Robert Earnshaw has been speaking about his move to WBA. He looks back at his time with Cardiff City and explains to Sporting Life how tough it was to move away.

"Leaving Cardiff was the toughest decision I have had to make. I have come through the ranks and been at Ninian Park since I was a boy. I have seen it all there, all the good times and promotions so to finally leave was very hard for me.

"It was crazy in the end, the last few days have been very tough and tiring and at times I didn't know what to think. But if it hadn't of happened I would have carried on doing my best for Cardiff, I loved playing for the club and being part of it all and loved doing well for those fans.

"It would not have mattered in the end if the deal hadn't happened this time around, but everybody has been really good about it now. There has been no problems with the fans, they understand I am sure. And so many people have come up to me and wished me luck, that has been something pretty special."

"After so long it is rather weird not to see my name on a Cardiff teamsheet, but I am hoping the team will continue to do really well and get into the Premier League. I just wish them all the luck in the world in the future."
