City's top scorer has been having treatment on a hip injury and is not quite ready to return to action.

"Robbie had 28 needles stuck in him during the course of injections to help free up his hip," said manager Dave Jones.

"The injections have been a success, but he's feeling sore.

"Robbie has been training to battle through it. He knows he has not been doing himself or the team justice.

"The lad wants to play. He is desperate to get going again and hopefully that will be by next weekend."

He is hoping to be in contention for the trip to Hull on Saturday. Trevor Sinclair is also hoping to be in contention for that game as he looks to recover from fluid on the knee.
