Speaking ahead of today's game Neil Harris had this to say about Preston.

"The league table doesn’t lie. You are where you deserve to be. They’ve done really well to get themselves into the position they are. They’ve got a settled squad of players and a settled manager who’s done very well with the group. They can control the ball in numbers, but they can get the ball forward quickly. They’re not a total football side and they’re not a long ball side and I think that’s a good mix in the Championship. Alex (Neil) has got a good group of players that he’s assembled and they’ve got the ability to play really good football."

Harris will have to make changes today with Sean Morrison banned and Aden Flint likely to be out injured.

"We have to make sure defensively we’re as good as we were against Forest and Stoke and, at times, against Brentford. We have to make sure we have an attacking intent to us as well. They’ve got some size and presence, so we have to be at our best. We’ve got to be at our best. Leeds were the best team I’ve seen in the Championship. Brentford were not far behind. Preston are between them."

It wil be a challenge taking on a Preston side who won their last two games but last week City came back from 3 - 0 down to draw with a Leeds side who had won seven on the bounce.

"We have to make sure that on the back of a really good week’s training the XI I put out on the pitch are ready to cause problems."
