Lennie wants to get the players signed up quickly so he has a settled squad ready for the first of the pre season games. Lennie has met with both player and their agents over the last two days and he has laid down offers to both of them. Lennie wants an answer by the end of the weekend from both players.
Lennie told the Echo
"I had a good chat with Tony last night and was impressed by the way the talks were conducted. But I am well aware he has other options to consider. I'm positive at this stage and hope that a decision will be made by the end of the weekend."
Lawrence said he had other players in mind if these deals fell through but confirmed they are his top targets.
