Opening day game moved to Sunday for Sky

Cardiff City will start their Championship season on Sunday August 8th with a 12:35pm kick off against Sheffield United. City's match is one of three Championsip matches chosen by the TV companies for the opening weekend. Norwich v Watford start proceedings on Friday August 6th, ko 7:45pm on Sky. Leeds v Derby is the game on Saturday tea time on BBC with Cardiff's game on Sky on the Sunday. The Carling Cup tie with Burton is now likely to move to the Wednesday. The same day that Wales are playing an international friendly.
