Cardiff City have announced that head coach Brian Barry?Murphy (pictured in Malaysia in the summer with his wife Sarah and Vincent Tan) has signed a new contract with the club, with his coaching team also committing their futures to the Bluebirds until 2029

The extension ensures stability heading into the new season, with Barry?Murphy and his staff continuing the work that has brought steady progress and a clear identity to the squad.

Barry?Murphy said he was pleased to extend his stay and highlighted the importance of keeping his staff together. “I’m really happy to sign a new deal,” he said. “We’ve built a strong coaching group here, and keeping that continuity is vital for the players and for the direction we’re trying to take the team. I’m grateful for the support from everyone at the club and excited about what’s ahead.”

Club owner Vincent Tan welcomed the news, praising the unity and professionalism of the coaching setup. “Brian has brought real stability and a clear vision to Cardiff City,” Tan said. “He and his staff work incredibly hard, and we believe they are the right team to take the club forward. We’re delighted they have committed to the future.”

The new contracts form part of Cardiff’s long?term plan to strengthen the club on and off the pitch, with the leadership group now secured as preparations continue for the upcoming campaign.
