When asked why Jesper Daland was not involved in Cardiff City's Carabao Cup fixture against Swindon Brian Barry-Murphy revealed the defender could be on his was out of the club.
Barry-Murphy did not know whether Daland will be leaving on a permanent or loan basis, but said: "Jesper's in conversations with other clubs, so he's not available."
Asked if a deal was close to being completed, he said: "I don't know. I don't know how close."
When asked how confident he was about bringing players in before the end of the month the manager said
"I'm confident,"
"I think it's wrong of me to say imminent or days because I just don't know.
"And my experience in this month of the window says the closer I think we are to one, the further away we are!
"And I think it's unfair to supporters. We'll definitely bring players in before the end of the window, but I don't know when."
