Manager comments as City draw at Port Vale

Port Vale manager Darren Moore told BBC Radio Stoke:

"I think it was a really good performance from the team. We got it right. If there was one small critique, and I mean small, it was the final third when we got into those threatening areas.

"If we create chances like that, on another night we would have got a goal or two. We were the team in the ascendancy and the one creating chances.

"Credit to the boys for nullifying an excellent team like Cardiff. There will be areas where we can learn from tonight."

Cardiff head coach Brian Barry-Murphy told BBC Radio Wales:

"We'll definitely take the clean sheet and the point. There were parts of the performance we'd like to be better, especially in front of an incredible travelling support.

"We've got no complaints. I thought we were lucky to get a point based on how well Port Vale played and elements of our performance need to be better.

"Our positioning was wrong, we were rushed… and our composure in wide areas was not great. That's not just the wide players, that's the whole team. The final ball, the final shot wasn't at a high enough level."
