Being cynical I'm not sure he is going to be able to see it through. Not unless he can see the weaknesses in the squad that sees the club a point off the relagtion zone.

Poorly performing players are still being picked. We are blunt in attack and prone to a mistake at the back. We are not commanding midfield and turning the play at pace.

I hope he can improve the team / squad but the issues are bigger. What direction is the club going in? What is the structure of leadership as far as a footballing future is concerned. We seem to be a bit lost at the moment.

The club announced: We’re pleased to confirm that following an interim spell in charge, Mark Hudson has been appointed Cardiff City First Team Manager on a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Hudson himself said:

“I’d like to take the opportunity of thanking Tan Sri Vincent and the Board for putting their faith in me and my backroom team. I’d also like to thank the City fans for their support, as passionate and committed as I always remembered them being during my time as a player.

“It’s an honour to be back here as Manager and I’ll be doing my utmost to take this Club forward, as I always have.”

Tom Ramasut remains as assistant, Graham Stack as GK coach and they are joined by new coach Dean Whitehead.
