“It’s been a really positive start. We kept the ball well and it was an overall positive display. That’s exactly what the boss wants - to be aggressive and to control the game. For Rotherham to only have one shot late on is a massive compliment to us.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better start.
“It’s a very young squad, it’s probably the youngest defence I’ve been involved in, but there’s huge talent there. None of them hide away from the ball or shy away from the pressure the boss puts on them. For me it’s about becoming a better leader, I have a responsibility to keep everyone in check.
“The energy I had from the staff was great. They made it clear they wanted the type of goalkeeper I am.
“Being comfortable with the ball at my feet is one of my strengths, and it fits with the way we play. For me, it’s now about adapting to the system, understanding the tactics, and maturing into the details of how the team wants to play.
"The next challenge for me is to keep improving.”

“It’s a very good day. Three goals, a home win and a clean sheet for the second league game in a row, I think we did a brilliant job in every position.
“As a striker, that’s what you want to do, score as many as possible. To get my first goal of the season, it’s a nice feeling.
“The fans can see what we’re trying to implement in the game and how he [Brian Barry-Murphy] wants us to play, but we already know, because we see it every day in training and we try to improve on it.
"It’s very important for us to keep trying and believe in it, because we need to believe in it to make it work and that’s what happened today.
“I’m sure the fans will continue with that support. There will be a lot of home games where we’ll have a lot of the ball because that’s the way that we want to play.
“I don’t feel very young in this team," Yousef added. "There are a lot of Academy players, which is great for the Club and for the fans as well, they’ll enjoy it.
“Me and Rubin have a good partnership. Hopefully we can keep improving on that and the whole team can improve together.”
