Update on Cardiff City’s 2025 End?of?Season Review
The Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust has sought clarification from the Club regarding the publication of the 2025 End?of?Season Review, which had been referenced following relegation. While the Trust had hoped this document would be shared more widely with supporters, the Club has confirmed that its position remains unchanged from the December 2025 Fan Advisory Board (FAB) meeting.
At that meeting, senior officials were asked about progress on the review of the Club’s senior structure and staff assessment. The published minutes recorded the following:
Q2. The Club has often stated it was conducting a review of its senior structure and a full staff assessment following relegation. Has there been any progress?
Phillip Jenkins: Our priority has been managing the financial repercussions of relegation. As a senior management team, we've focused on protecting our employees’ jobs as much as possible.
Steve Borley: Our staff are truly the glue that holds the Club together; they are highly valued by all of us.
The Club has reiterated that no further official information is available for release.
Operational Stability and Progress
In correspondence with the Trust, Wayne Nash, Head of Operations, highlighted the Club’s focus on stability during the 2025–26 season. He noted that it was “a credit to the Owner and Board” that no redundancies were made during a challenging period for the organisation.
Wayne also praised the impact of the new manager, whose energy and approach helped deliver promotion and rebuild a strong connection with supporters — bringing back a sense of enjoyment reminiscent of the early Dave Jones era.
Despite financial pressures, the Club maintained high operational standards and continued to invest in key facilities. Recent improvements include:
- Additional lighting rigs and upgraded CCTV at Cardiff City Stadium
- Reconfigured first?team training facilities at The Vale
- Further drainage and irrigation works at Llanrumney ahead of the 2026–27 season
Early pitch renovation has also enabled home pre?season friendlies, which Wayne described as helpful in managing pre?season costs.
Wayne noted "Now we look forward and not backwards".
Looking Ahead
Wayne acknowledged the importance of heritage projects to supporters, including appropriate celebration of the Club’s FA Cup win and the development of a Cardiff City Museum. He expressed his intention to work with the Trust on these priorities during the coming season.

While the Trust is disappointed the End?of?Season Review will not be shared publicly, we appreciate the clarity provided and welcome the continued dialogue with the Club. Supporters remain keen to understand the lessons learned from the relegation period, and the Trust will continue to raise this directly, through its various engagement channels.
